How much to pay for specialists?

To bring one's own life and love into food is a great thing to do. And there is nothing wrong with people earning by cooking food.


But how much we pay for food outside, particularly for the chefs?


Doesn't the below disparity the reflection of what we value in the world? Salary of teachers, NASA vs. highest-paid chefs. When our priorities are not in order, we create imbalance, violence, and poverty in the world.

I do have friends who are chefs, and I appreciate their cooking, while I trust there are jobs that produce more value than variety and taste in food. As hard as it is to believe, just like turning the switch, the moment we all reorder our priorities in unison, that is, we become the change, the world will change.




The national average starting teacher salary is $38,617, while the average teacher salary in America (non-starting) is $58,950. Montana has the lowest starting salary: $30,036, while D.C. has the highest starting salary: $51,359. (Niche.com- source)



Highest paid Nasa employees: Technical Fellow, Senior Technical Leader These two positions have a starting salary of $172,101 and a maximum salary of $177,400, according to a listing on USAJOBS. In general, NASA employees earn $65,000 annually on average, or $31 per hour, which is 2% lower than the national salary average of $66,000 per year. Source: Money.com and google search

Highest paid Chefs: The highest-paid chef, Gordon Ramsay, earned $63 million in 2019. Wolfgang Puck pulls in $16 million a year.
